April 2026: AIDA USA Pool Nationals

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the 2026 AIDA USA Pool Championships — my first freediving competition as an event photographer. The weekend brought together an incredible field of athletes, with huge performances, multiple continental records, and an especially strong showing from the women’s field.

Photographing the intensity, focus, and energy of the competition was an exciting experience, and felt like a meaningful intersection of two worlds I care deeply about: freediving and underwater photography. I’m excited to share a selection of images from the event, with more freediving competition coverage to come.
