If you want something ready to hang, pick metal, but know it costs more up front. Glass is very expensive which makes framing expensive. Metal panels are easy to wipe down, good option for a bathroom. I personally like a matted look, but some images look really well as metals. I have a metal hung up in my house with a lot of traffic easy to clean and durable. Something artistic and archival would be more likely to choose paper.
